Today...day 3 of the Cedarburg event..

Wanted to do something interesting, something different...everyone is painting the area, 150 artists...and its happened annually for a good number of years.  How many paintings of coffee shops, the creek...etc., really over the years?

So...I decided to paint a reflection of the other side of the street in the black shiny wall of the historic movie theater of Cedarburg, the Rivoli...

Of course...couldn't help but include yours truly in that reflection...hahaa...

Solid work Larry...I share your views - at least I think I do. Your long "rant" on the IPAP site today touched on many truths.Keep painting and keep smiling!

thanks Phil...
Nothing is so much a downer as to be around artists whose spirits are cast down, aware for the most part only of their disappointing performance in judging...missing entirely for the moment the joy and privilege of making. Of having eyes that see...and one more day above ground.

I home that enthusiasm, joy...is contagious...and think we need a good dose of the positives! Of that to be thankful for...
