An outdoor painter by preference- (setting up on location to paint from life), the works of this blog will be frequent exercises painted from whatever strikes my fancy with intent to sharpen my eye, push and stretch my understanding of paint. Note that my links will include my larger artist's site, and latest available giclee prints at Image Kind. Feel free to inquire to the availability of any works seen here.

Enjoying this series.
Looking really nice Dad!
thanks Mick and Jason...
scraped the face off on Christmas eve day, and my wife and I had to be at someone's house for dinner later that afternoon. Thought I'd be able to repaint the face real quick...but I pushed the gun and time too much. Ended up scraping it off again.
Will wait til I have time next to do justice in my effort! Some anatomical issues working out now for accuracy, which is at least one advantage of scraping back...helping you eventually get it right.
