An outdoor painter by preference- (setting up on location to paint from life), the works of this blog will be frequent exercises painted from whatever strikes my fancy with intent to sharpen my eye, push and stretch my understanding of paint. Note that my links will include my larger artist's site, and latest available giclee prints at Image Kind. Feel free to inquire to the availability of any works seen here.

This is so nice. The way you handled the trees and the light.
thanks Barbara...
enjoyed the day on this one...a mix of chill but with sun to warm. The color and light were quite inviting..
Larry, this is wonderful (I admire your heartiness - standing in snow!) anyway - I love the colors you have brought out in this - the sense of light and shadow!
thanks Helen...
hey...if a number of us and northerners can stand on frozen ice waiting for fish to strike a minnow and the tip up to flag...then its really not all that hearty to paint in snow.
Actually if I paint...I'm pretty much guaranteed I won't be skunked!!! I'll be going home with something...
take care...appreciate the comments..
