Snowed Over Old Ford Tractor- Oil Painting

Started a painting where I have assigned myself the
challenge to mix up the right color and value on the
palette with the aim of not tweaking or fixing paint
once put down with the brush. The old alla prima
axiom of "a brushstroke laid is a brushstroke stayed"

One can nearly count the strokes doing this, but
it is fun and really pushes you to focus on the
essential need and purpose of each brushstroke...

Not finished...but here is where I am at...and you
can click on it to see a much larger view...

and a closeup view-

What is it about farm machinary that is so compelling. Unless you had to actually use it ;) Nice work.
