An outdoor painter by preference- (setting up on location to paint from life), the works of this blog will be frequent exercises painted from whatever strikes my fancy with intent to sharpen my eye, push and stretch my understanding of paint. Note that my links will include my larger artist's site, and latest available giclee prints at Image Kind. Feel free to inquire to the availability of any works seen here.

Oh, this is wonderful! Reminds me of my childhood back in Michigan, riding on the back of my Uncle Chuck's Ford tractor.
thanks Bill...appreciate hearing that! Old vehicles, trucks...tractors..seem to touch something of the past in so many of us...
thanks for stoppin' by...checked out your blog...and the Palace Motel really struck a chord with me! Nice mood...and color!!!
you can just imagine the cold seat if you had to fire this baby up and go to work. Beautiful variations of "white", as usual. Just friendly a note from the wife/painter of a antique tractor collector, they (all men that love tractors) would prefer it be called a tractor rather then a truck. It's a very difficult subject painted perfectly!
Dang Laura...that was a senior moment misspell!!! Glad you caught it so I can fix that...
I posted in on Wetcanvas.com as an old tractor...
coming....going...I don't know which way is which...sheesh!! Paint'n ducks today, conifers tomorrow...pair of dog tags, trucks, tractors...
The whites in this are great. I like the warm shadows. Nice work.
Thanks for sharing the various steps! You're an incredible painter Larry!
These are both really awesome Dad, love the color, the zorn palette is really nice . . . has a nice effect especially for a winter painting.
thanks Jo...Tim much appreciated,
thanks Jason!! Finding that palette, as simple as it is...more and more useful
