End 4th Session- 40"x 50" Strong Falls oil

Ending my fourth session...working mostly
the upper background. Trying to allow more
of the undertone to work for me there,
scumbling in thinner passages of paint.
Coming together I think...

Holy Crap Dad, I think this is the best painting you've ever done . . . I think you've hit a level out of this world!

Larry I KNOW this is coming together! Seriously impressive - I love how you have really layered the colour so effectively. Brilliant

thanks Jason and Tim...

what...??? I haven't reached my prime yet kid?? Some sure would think so since my wildlife art years...but, I wanted to go different directions.

heh....maybe as the eyes start to fail, the inevitable should be to paint larger and larger!! hahaaa..

Larry, this new large piece has water in it that just baffles the viewer...it baffles me! I think the degree of realism achieved is outstanding but there is still the artists touch in there throughout the painting. Great subtle color transitions and striking light. You have to be commended for delving into this piece.

Dad, you are silly . . . what I meant was I think you've reached yet a new peak, this piece is a masterpiece! It belongs in a museum!

Following your posts with admiration Larry. Wonderful to see your work on waterfalls pay off like this!

hahaha...just messin' with ya, Jason..
but, my thought of your last comment is I'm feeling of late I belong in a museum too...some wing where they display old history or dinosaurs!!! 8^)

thanks for the comments though...seriously.

Thanks Bart...I'm trying to work thru one part that's not paricularly settn' well with my eye at the moment. I know I'll figure it out...but I hate how it bugs you and time has other things in mind to busy your hands with!
