pleased with the simple marks of paint

An outdoor painter by preference- (setting up on location to paint from life), the works of this blog will be frequent exercises painted from whatever strikes my fancy with intent to sharpen my eye, push and stretch my understanding of paint. Note that my links will include my larger artist's site, and latest available giclee prints at Image Kind. Feel free to inquire to the availability of any works seen here.

I am also fascinated by the top part of the painting Larry -a joy to watch!
thanks Bart...the mountains, and the clouds that envelope, move down and kiss them are an indelible part of the Alaskan experience. I might be home...but my mind and heart are owned by my experience there this summer, and I can't wait to go back! Till then, I'll look forward to a number of paintings to keep the memories fresh...
Very nice painting. I like the mountains and the boat. I think the boat is a great subject. I look forward to more paintings.
