New one...Cranky Nitro...pushing the paint...

Trying to push the envelope...painting this after my teaching day today, an hour...and trying to "destroy" the work...in a creative sense.  Something Quang Ho...says to aim for, scraping out with paint knife, rebuilding...pushing.  Not easy to do...believe me...but something I'm aiming to work for more and more...

check out Quang's work..insanely creative, contemporary...compelling the eye...at once abstract yet at the same time crazy realistic!!!

I've really been enjoying your lure series and just had to say this is my favorite by far. Its nice to read masterful painting like you still push themselves and look to improve on a continual basis. I adore how you captured the shiny gold finish and the "oh crap" look on this lure's eye. Even your detail work on the links are amazing.

thank you Sheila..
I am having fun...and the lures are an excuse for the experiments I'm playing with in paint, but also part of the culture and lore of where I live and have grown up. So...though they are experiments for me, I have a feeling they will also find a home to go to one day...

appreciated, thanks for taking time...
