Haybales...just down the road

I enjoy an occasional rural'esque opportunity painting this far north in Wisconsin, and we do have a number of farms.  Just around the corner from me and down the road about 1/2 mile...the sunlight was gorgeous last night.  Of course, typical me I like that last hour or less of light, and this was once more the case.

Painted on Senso linen...8"x 10" oils...

Your haybales are great. In the midwest, southeast missouri, we bale both square and round bales. The round bales have more personality. Its also interesting to paint them at different times of the day

Very nice! That's some intense color.

Wow!

This painting glows with light, and the wide, open spaces amid the bales compliment the light nicely.

I like those huge pile types too, not sure what they'd be called, but think the Amish do them...
