Ginty Creek....gouache 6"x 9"

On route home this later afternoon from
Rhinelander, Wisconsin, decided to give
the gouache a run in the colder weather, see
what I might learn.  Added a drop of glycerin
to each bit of pigment I put out on my palette,
and alcohol to the water cup.

Painted a reddish value varied undertone to
keep the painting warm, and tweak out the
complementary contrasts...

I think it worked. Dang... Love the sky, the shadows, the glare on the snow, the trees and the cattails. It's always an inspiration to see what you have been working on. I know I couldn't do 10% of this but I think I might have to get your landscape painting book.
