As any readers or followers of my blog no doubt already know, my older son Jason is an internationally recognized award winning talent in high end caricature and illustration...great portraitist, whatever he puts his hand and heart to.  A most unique piece he has just finished is for a film, "The People Versus George Lucas"..and this small bit from my son's blog posting about this-

"THE PEOPLE vs. GEORGE LUCAS will finally world premiere, fresh off the editing press, at the prestigious South by Southwest (SXSW) Film Festival in Austin, Texas (March 12th to March 21st 2010)! They included the film in their prestigious Spotlight Premiere section, alongside the latest releases from Steven Soderbergh, Michel Gondry, Jean-Pierre Jeunet and Shane
Meadows!"

Take a moment to visit Jason's blog...and see this illustration up close and personal which Jason just finished making for this film's poster;  see and read more on this wonderful venture, the film, and the great art... The People versus George Lucas World Premier!

This is proof that the American male father influence is an important position, and fruits of that laybor is it's just reward.
This post just made my day!

as I get older, I find more and more Jason is a strong influence, as is my other son, Jeremy. Age has a way at times of making you feel whipped, defeated...or on a decline, but my kids haven't given me much room to think on such and in turn now are pushing me.

As for my part...if I were an influence, I think it was their seeing me as an artist/adult believing in myself even against the odds...not cutting myself slack, and displaying a hard work ethic.

thanks...much appreciated...
