Last Light Ice Fishing with Friends...5"x 8" gouache

Went ice fishing with a couple other teachers and our
principal last night...lot of fun.  Took a few pictures,
and the light was most compelling.  Too tired to finish
my little gouache here tonight...probably tomorrow...
but here it is for now...

I have an animation gif working on this one on
Wetcanvas...and when finished with this one will
provide a link for those interested.

Painted on Strathmore black presentation board,
400 series...

What is gouache? Your ice fishing piece is very, very well done.

thanks...

gouache is referred to as an opaque watercolor..

some think just using say Chinese white added to watercolor will amount to the same. From my reading, I have seen that gouache is technically a professional grade of temperas. Remember those paints that dried and cracked in elementary school?
