Yeah, I agree Dad, there's something about the look of these gouache paintings? They've got a great LOOK to them, really nice!

they seem to imbue a natural inclination to looseness or painterliness that I've been working on for years now to develop in my oils.
Each success with the gouache is like a pay attention moment for me to consider how it would translate to oils. Only time will tell..
