Tired...Old, Near Forgotten Ford Truck Oil Painting

Old vehicles seen in fields around rural areas, often parked
and left for years behind old sheds or barns...just have a
charm about them that immediately stirs up the imagination
to the past. This one certainly has that charm, at least to
my eye...

a 5"x 7" oil

I recommend clicking on the image and see the larger one
for ideal color and better sense of brushwork...thanks!

5"x7"? Looks like it could be a much larger painting? Really amazing! I love the simple feel of the background almost looks abstract in shape and form but totally accurate as well. The truck is top notch painting, and I really, really love the simple suggestions of weeds falling over the tires . . . I love this one a to death!

This painting is really strong Larry. I love that it's painted up close - not as part of the background - it gives a whole energy to the piece. and as always painted with such skill

thanks Jason....
Jorn...and Tim...much appreciated.

Hope to begin to note on my drives more isolated old trucks and cars abandoned. Fun to paint, that's for sure..

I keep coming back to this painting, there's something about it that really draws me in? This is one of my favorites of yours for sure! Dad, you need to put out a book (hard copy) as well!
