Many Days Cold & Abandoned

7"x 5" oil...

Heavy textured panel...then primed, undertone with a pinkish
orange color with turps. Letting bits of the warm undertone
coming thru throughout the painting to unify it...and contrast
with cold of snow. Click on image to see larger image, and the
textured surface with paint will be easily understood.

Whoa, really cool! I really dig this kick you're on Dad. I really like the pink showing through, and the texture is nice as well, makes me want to drop everything and go out and paint today!

thanks Jason...guess a compliment doesn't get any better than making another artist want to grab their gear, go out and paint!!! 8^)

hahaha...thanks Hattermad...you made my day, which has been a challenging one to now. Needed a chuckle and some comradery!

its fun...and I'll probably work on a series, perhaps some large canvases...but right now, I'll be combing the country side looking for more old vehicles abandoned and lookin' for a little attention! 8^)

What is it about abandoned cars that tugs at my soul. Is it the fear of being forgotten and ignored, or is it the reminder that from dust we emerge, and to dust we return? Great looking painting.
