Cold cold cold nite painting...but lovely light!

Went out about 4pm tonight...was 22 degrees
temps here in northern Wisconsin, but there
was a pretty good stiff wind with a chill
that would go right thru you. I'll bet with
wind chill it had to be in the single digits.

Now, I paint outdoors in the winter...but
found myself notably affected with the cold
tonight.

Still...the light was gorgeous, and I had to
fight the cold and paint regardless. Cold
enough the paint was a bit stiff...

9"x 12" oil...

available at Moondeer & Friends Gallery-

I love the long shadows and the rich gold of the foreground. Good one!

I really like this scene. It makes me want to practice more painting from life myself. Great work.
