An outdoor painter by preference- (setting up on location to paint from life), the works of this blog will be frequent exercises painted from whatever strikes my fancy with intent to sharpen my eye, push and stretch my understanding of paint. Note that my links will include my larger artist's site, and latest available giclee prints at Image Kind. Feel free to inquire to the availability of any works seen here.

Larry, The light and the feeling in this painting is truly great. You really captured a sense of place for me in this painting.
thanks Wendy, appreciate hearing this came thru..
...the tree struck me immediately walking thru this terrain.
Great painting Larry, for me this invokes memories of that crisp cool air, sun and quiet -I can't wait for the weekend! I take it rifle season is over around your parts?
oh yeah...
my son and I hunt together often...(gun and bow)...and we had a very good year. Bow season now till early January...for the hearty! 8^)
Amazing what country you come across while out... and I intend to explore this area/theme of this tree as I imagine a nice buck somewhere in this...
Splendid job, how you get so much distance between the tree and background, just awesome.
thanks Rene...
it was a fun piece to paint...
This is so beautiful with the sunlight sparkling on the snow intermingled with shadows.
thanks much Celeste...
nice to know a piece has an appeal to a number of eyes, and should register with the artist that made it. Appreciated
The gesture and stance of this tree is so interesting and intriguing. I am glad that you found it beautiful and painted it so others could see it!
8^)
thanks Jeane..
