Its been said that after painting so many
(hundreds) of plein air in the Wyoming and
Colorado mountains...that Clyde Aspevig
can put together the most convincing
beautiful landscape paintings from his
imagination alone.
After four recent attempts here now of some
waterfalls (not to mention many plein air
efforst of the past), I thought it would be fun
and revealing of things to myself about
myself to try and create a falls that does
not in actuality exist. A fun exercise to see
what important things one has learned, and
if they can be applied.
With that, I am feeling somewhat satisfied
with this effort..."Ficticious Falls"...
