Hi Larry,
i just returned from a week in Maine-absolutely gorgeous fall colors. i like the colors used in the whale painting just as it is...the colors used are great and the contrast, without the definition of line (ducks) create a very abstract painterly design. You can feel the motion and chill of it all. Of course, if you check my last painting in my blog the palette is almost the same, so maybe Im a little biased. I have checked out your blog a little further and in February you have a painting of a Snow Crab claw....love it too. Hope you had a great meal on your break.......
....Judy
p.s. checked out your sons work and really enjoyed seeing the family of artists.

thanks Judy...appreciate your take on it.

I agree, sometimes a painting stands alone on the abstract. I do want more definition of the clouds which at this point on closer inspection is quite obviously left unfinished. I'll keep your thoughts in mind as I balance this all out. Thanks again, and for the kind remarks. yes...Jason is quite a talent isn't he!!
