This piece was a difficult one to
photograph for the blog...the darks
are rich, but light catches the
ridges in the darks of the brush
strokes.
Painting is a way of seeing something
deeply, and the prolonged time it
takes to paint something really builds
a unique intimacy between the artist
and the subject. I enjoyed all the
subtle color hidden in the grays of
the metal. A very fun piece to paint!
