Thus, in my mind I simply think if a couple guys can stand on a frozen lake with winds crossing them staring at tip ups or jigging, heck...I can paint. Not really any big deal. The oils have to be made agreeable to work in such conditions and the copal medium I use fits that bill well.

A small pocket heater for when fingers get a bit tingly...but otherwise the value changes, the neutrals, light...are quite intriguing in the winter. Coldest I've withstood thus far has been a minus 13 degrees. Relative really to what you get used to. No big deal for me...

take care...thanks for the comments...yeah, watching the coache's show the next day...the front lineman let Favre down when it mattered. Young...building and growing. Always a better day around the corner.
peaceLarry Seilerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09553436656150515023noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20638302.post-1160450277112170502006-10-09T20:17:00.000-07:002006-10-09T20:17:00.000-07:00It's great to get out while the weather is still a...It's great to get out while the weather is still acceptable, but I have seen that you brave worse elements too. I had an idea in mind..which is happening more and more of late painting on location. I see it finished before I begin...and that perhaps comes of experience, but also helps in the daring or attack of the work.

Its a bit frustrating when it doesn't exactly come as you envisioned it...but its better perhaps to see the work hours or a day later. I like it better now seeing it the next day.

thanks much..appreciate your taking time to comment.Larry Seilerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09553436656150515023noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20638302.post-1160336947110785602006-10-08T12:49:00.000-07:002006-10-08T12:49:00.000-07:00Hi Larry,This just has a really, really nice feeli...Hi Larry,

This just has a really, really nice feeling to it overall.
